Learning Outcomes:  Attendees who complete this educational activity will be able to:
  • Examine common indicators of human trafficking.
  • Correlate the links between trafficking and pornography.
  • Discuss Texas statutes pertaining to human trafficking.
  • Summarize local and state trafficking prevention activities.
  • Relate interviewing techniques utilized with potential trafficking victims.
  • Classify “red flag” symptoms that may be consistent with human trafficking.
  • Prioritize social and safety needs of recently rescued trafficking victims.
  • Identify trafficker’s methods of power and control over their victims.
